It can often be daunting starting anything new but also exciting. Rosemarie, who is a registered nurse, successfully completed her training in both Botox and Dermal Filler at the start of 2017. Hear Kerry’s story on how she set up her own successful independent clinic.

Training was the most important priority for me when starting out. Identifying a training package that suited my needs was simple with Medica Health Training.

I was looking for professionalism, value, a modern environment and a warm welcome. I got all that and more during my training experience. The tutors are highly qualified, knowledgeable trained professionals.  I’d done all my research and was very impressed with the tutors.  I also loved the idea of training in small groups as it almost felt like a one on one approach. Overall a very well planned agenda for the day ahead.

So, here I am now. It’s been 10 months since I first attended my training. I have a fully registered Independent Clinic of my own in Dundee, Scotland. I couldn’t be any happier at how successful my business is growing.  I have built up a steady stream of loyal clientele who have given me the best feedback and encouragement to deliver safe cosmetic treatments.

The registration process with Healthcare Improvement Scotland wasn’t the easiest but here we are and I’m so happy to be registered, and pleased that Independent Clinics are now being regulated in Scotland. Hopefully existing and future clients in Scotland considering cosmetic treatments are feeling that little bit (or big bit!) more protected.

I plan to attend further masterclasses this year, to continue to hone my skills. My continued professional development is very important to me as it allows me to offer my clients the very best in my field of expertise. I haven’t looked back in the past 10 months. My plan is to look forward to the future and continue to be part of this growing, exciting evolving cosmetic industry.
