Combined Foundation Botulinum Toxin & Dermal Filler Training – Level 1

Our Level 1 Botulinum Toxin & Dermal Filler training course is the perfect starting point for your career in medical aesthetics and is aimed at those with little or no previous experience in injectables, or those that have trained but require some further supervised practice. This  course covers both Botulinum toxin and dermal fillers in the one day and this will mean the course is intensive. The course includes a combination of lecture, live demonstrations and observations as well as “hands on” supervised practice covering the most popular treatments asked for:

Botulinum Toxin: Peri-orbital (crow’s feet), Frontalis (forehead) and Glabellar (frown)

Dermal Fillers: Lips ( We will also talk about marionette lines and nasolabial folds as well)

This is the start of your medical aesthetic career and we strongly advocate lifelong learning, attending further training to develop your knowledge and clinical skills to advanced level. All our courses are recognised by Cosmetic Insure and all other major aesthetic insurance providers.

Pre-Course Material: After booking, you will be issued with pre-course reading to undertake before your course. This is essential as the morning session will recap and further expand on theoretical aspects before you can move on to your hands on practical training. 

Models: It is recommended that you bring your own model to work on happy for both Botox & Dermal Filler treatment. Model information will be sent to you at time of booking. If you cannot find a model, we can provide one for you for a small cost please contact us on 0141 638 4098 at least 2 weeks before the course.

Who Can Attend: Registered doctors, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, dental therapists &  midwives. Registration details will be checked, and you will be asked to bring photo ID on the day as well.

A deposit of 50% of the fee is due within 24 hours of booking due to course availability and remaining balance within 2 weeks of the course date or you can pay full amount when you book. Payment can be made via credit card or by selecting invoice option. When selecting invoice, payment details will be sent to you at time of booking. Payment can be made by either cheque or bacs.

Certificates of Competency

In order to achieve your course certificate, participants must finish the course and show competency, you will be expected to do the following:


- Take a history and examine a patient
- Advise the patient on the treatment plan
- Reconstitute Botox
- Work out a reasonable dose of Botox
- Draw up the correct dose for a patient
- Deliver the correct dose in the correct location
- Ensure there is no air in the syringe when delivering the product
- Use clean/sterile techniques for injection
- Advise patients on the results expected from fillers
- Correctly attach the components of the fillers (syringe and needle) together
- Deliver a smooth flow of filler
- Massage out any lumps
- Advise patients about lumps both at the time of treatment and subsequently
- Dispose of sharps and waste items properly

The vast majority of participants are deemed to be competent at a basic level of administration of Botox and Fillers by the end of the course. If the tutor feels you are not competent to practise by the end of the course you will not receive your course certificate and will mean you will have to attend the course again. We also strongly recommend after your course doing further cpd training to update your knowledge and clinical skills.
